This is a pan London guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of rhinitis.
This guideline is aimed at primary care clinicians in NHS SWL. It outlines the headache referral and management pathway for adults (18 years or older) and signposts to national and local guidance where appropriate.
This guideline is intended for use by clinicians in primary care for the acute treatment of migraine in adults (age 18 years and above)
The melatonin prescribing guidance for children and young adults replaces the ‘melatonin – sleep disorders in children and adolescents’ shared care agreement. However, children and adolescents who have been treated in accordance with the previous shared care i.e. melatonin modified release tablets (Circadin), will continue with their treatment. At their next review with the specialist, the treatment will be reviewed and changed, where clinically appropriate to an approved licensed formulation in line with SWL formulary
The safe use of valproate policy provides advice and guidance for healthcare professionals to ensure the safe prescribing and dispensing of valproate for all patients across SWL. The policy must be used in conjunction with local standard operating procedures, organisational policies and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) Healthcare Professional Guide.‘Valproate’ is used to mean oral sodium valproate, valproic acid and valproate semi sodium.
