Melatonin Prescribing Guidance for Children and Young People

  • The ‘melatonin – sleep disorders in children and adolescents’ shared care agreement has been replaced by the above melatonin guidelines. However, children and adolescents who have been treated in accordance with the previous shared care i.e. melatonin modified release tablets (Circadin), will continue with their treatment. At their next review with the specialist, the treatment will be reviewed and changed, where clinically appropriate to an approved licensed formulation in line with SWL formulary
